Featured Wedding: Shruti + Nilesh
Today we are featuring a beautiful Gujarati wedding of Shruti and Nilesh photographed by Sean and Amanda Photography.
Shruti and Nilesh met while attending college in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple got married on a gorgeous fall day in Greenville, South Carolina. The couple tied the knot in a traditional Gujarati wedding ceremony. For the ceremony, Shruti wore red and white “panetar”, which is the sari typically worn by Gujarati brides. She completed her gorgeous ceremony look with a sheer red net veil.
For the wedding reception in the evening, Shruti changed into a very pretty pink and gold lehnga, while Nilesh wore a midnight blue and gold sherwani. The reception was full of fun, and lots of dancing (and yes, there was garba and raas!). The bridal party and the family had some amazing performances lined up. The bride herself performed a beautiful dance along with her bridesmaids.
I love all the beautiful colors and celebration in this wedding. The couple’s love for one another, their families and their traditions was evident on their wedding day.
