7 tips to select your Indian wedding venue

You have finalized your wedding date, and are looking for the perfect venue. Do you want an outdoor wedding or indoors? How about a destination wedding?

We have put together a list of 7 things to consider when when choosing your wedding venue:

1. Your wedding budget: Your budget is a big factor to decide the type of venue.  It will determine the kind of upgrades you can get at a venue. For example, hotel service, bar packages, timings for the venue rental etc.

2. Catering, and menu options: How you would like the food to be served at your wedding? What kind of food do you want to serve? Do you want to bring in your own caterer?

3. Number of guests: This, in conjunction of your budget will help you determine the per person cost. The per person cost, will help you determine the budget for the venue, and in whole the wedding itself.

4. Kind of service expected.

5. The season you decide to get married in: The season you choose to get married in will help you make the decision with the type of venue. For example, If you choose to have your wedding during winter time, it would rule out many outdoor venues.

6. Whether your guests are local or out of town: If most of your guests are out of town, you may choose to have the wedding at a hotel. That way the guest accommodations can be at the same location.

7. Your style as a couple: It is important for you as a couple to decide what your style is. Did you always dream about a wedding at a vineyard or a museum? There are many venue options, and your style would help you decide the perfect venue for your wedding.
