Perfectly Matched: Malini and Nowshad

Radio DJ, Party Animal, and Mumbai’s Gossip Girl: Meet Celebrity Blogger Malini Agarwal aka MissMalini. MissMalini recently got married to the love of her life Nowshad Rizwanullah. The couple tied the knot in style, and what better place than the beautiful beaches of Goa.

How they met

Before we get into the wedding details, let us take a flashback to 2007 when the two love birds first met. MissMalini had started a social network in Mumbai called Friday Club about 7 years ago for people to meet other fun people. Even though it was not exactly a singles club, a few of her friends and her brother met their perfect matches there. It was not a surprise, that MissMalini met her better half at the social network that she started herself. “I call it karma!”, she exclaims. We could not agree more!

Proposal

The two dated for four years of dating, two of which were long distance while Nowshad was at Harvard Business School. Nowshad asked MissMalini to marry him in the most romantic proposal in February, 2011. Exactly a year later they were married.

Destination Wedding

Details

The super creative message in-a-bottle invitations, cute flip flop motif on the save the date and wedding website, set the mood for the perfect beach wedding. MissMalini and Nowshad put a lot of care and thought into their wedding. They created welcome bags for their guests, which in essence were survival kits that I would suggest all couples make for their wedding guests. Needless to say, the bags were a big hit.

Little details, like beach goodies (sarongs, hats, beach balls) and fun gift bags at the Mehendi Carnival, super fun photo booth, beach-inspired M&N wedding logo, a hand-fan with details of the wedding rituals, a welcome booklet with event information and even photo signs scattered around the venue, added a personal touch to the wedding.

 

Wedding Ceremony

The traditional Hindu ceremony was right on the beach. Love how the mandap is elegantly decorated with tuberoses and pink drapery. The Baraat arrived to the wedding venue with Nowshad and his entourage in an open jeep down the beach as well. MissMalini, looking absolutely stunning, walked down the aisle with her brother by her side to “Meri pyaari beheniya, banegi dulhaniya”.
